Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia – Canberra Quarry in Williamsdale is seeking a self-motivated Quarry Operator to join our team. The role is permanent full-time from Monday to Friday, with overtime and Saturday work as required.

You will be based at the Canberra Quarry, working with heavy machinery including dump trucks, loaders, excavators and crushing/screening plant. Reporting to the Quarry Manager, you will perform fixed plant maintenance, pre-start checks, safety inspections and weighbridge

Qualifications

• Demonstrated safety focus and adherence to site rules.
• Ability to work in a team and adapt to changing tasks.
• Willingness to learn and take on varying operator duties.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery such as dump trucks, loaders, excavators and crushing/screening plant.
• Perform general maintenance and inspections of equipment and fixed plant.
• Assist with weighbridge duties and site tasks as required.
• Follow pre-start checks and safety procedures for both fixed and mobile plant.
