Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking a Quarry Operator to join East Guyong Quarry, between Orange and Bathurst on the Mitchell Highway, NSW. Permanent full-time, Monday–Friday with potential overtime and some Saturdays.

You will operate mobile equipment (Dump Trucks, Front End Loaders, Excavators) and crushing & screening plants, conduct fixed plant inspections, and contribute to general maintenance. A safety-focused attitude and ability to work in a small team are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid tickets and experience operating Loader, Dump Truck and Excavator preferred.
• Previous quarrying experience highly regarded.
• Total commitment to Zero Harm and Safety Leadership.
• Adherence to fixed and mobile plant pre-start & maintenance procedures.
• Ability to work in a small team and unsupervised.
• Pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile equipment including Dump Trucks, Front End Loaders and Excavators (Experience highly advantageous).
• Operate crushing & screening plants.
• General fixed plant inspections & maintenance.
• During busy periods all employees may perform any quarry tasks as needed.

Job description

We have an opportunity for aQuarry Operatorto join our team atEast Guyong Quarrylocated between Orange and Bathurst on the Mitchell Highway, New South Wales. Approx 3.5 hours west of Sydney.

Reporting to the Quarry Supervisor this is a permanent full-time role, working Monday to Friday with ample opportunity for overtime and potential Saturday work.

We are seeking applicants who have a passion for safety and value strong work ethic, as well as being willing and able to work a varied role in hard rock operations and general maintenance activities.

In your new role with us, you will:

• Operate mobile equipment, including Dump Trucks, Front End Loaders and Excavators (Experience highly advantageous)
• Operate crushing & screening plants
• General fixed plant inspections & maintenance
• During busy periods we expect all employees to pitch in and perform any/all quarry tasks where needed
