Job summary

Holcim Australia is seeking a Multi Skilled Operator based in Leongatha South, VIC, to operate Face Loaders and Excavators with a focus on safety and reliability. The role involves pre-start checks, fault reporting, and proactive maintenance to sustain continuous quarry operations.

The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in quarry/mining environments, be prepared to work across all quarry activities, and support a safe, productive site with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy machinery in quarry/mining environments.
• Ability to perform basic maintenance and troubleshoot equipment.
• Knowledge of QA processes and stockpiling in quarry settings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily pre-start inspections on HME plant and equipment.
• Identify problems and machine faults and ensure timely reporting and rectification to maintain safe operations.

About the role:

We are looking for a Multi Skilled Operator with experience in Face Loader & Excavator operations, an individual who has worked in quarrying, mining or similar environments before. You hold safety as a core value and appreciate the need for keeping the workplace safe.

You will conduct daily pre-start inspections on various HME plant and equipment, identify problems and machine faults ensuring these are reported and rectified to assist the site in maintaining a consistent and safe operation at all times.

About you:

• Skilled and experienced in the use of Face Loaders/ Excavators (i.e. Cat 988, Komatsu WA 600, or Volvo L350 loaders & experience on Excavators over 30 tonne).
• Experience with Frontend loader operations.
• Complex crushing and blending plant operation and basic maintenance.
• Familiar with quarry products and QA manufacturing / stockpiling process.
• Quarry plant maintenance.
• Must be flexible and willing to work across all facets of quarry activities.
• Must be prepared to work overtime.
