Job summary

Adbri Quarries in Penrice Quarry, SA, is seeking an experienced Quarry Operator – Rigid Dump Truck to support quarry operations. Your main duty is operating a rigid dump truck, with opportunities to expand skills to water carts, ADTs, loaders, crushers and excavators as you gain competency.

This role follows a Monday to Friday roster with day/afternoon shifts and some weekend work. A supportive team culture places safety and reliability at the forefront of activities.

Qualifications

• Experience operating rigid dump trucks or similar heavy mobile equipment in quarrying, mining or a related industry.
• Current driver’s licence.
• RII/VOC competencies preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to safety.
• Willingness to learn and develop across a range of quarry equipment.
• Flexibility to work rotating day and afternoon shifts, with weekend work as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a rigid dump truck safely and efficiently.
• Develop skills across other mobile and fixed plant as training opportunities arise.
• Maintain strong safety, health and environmental standards.
• Complete pre-start checks, inspections, basic maintenance and housekeeping.
• Undertake occasional manual handling and general labouring duties.
• Work effectively as part of a close-knit team.

The role

Adbri Quarries has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Quarry Operator – Rigid Dump Truck to join our team at Penrice Quarry, SA.

Your primary role will be operating a rigid dump truck to support quarry operations. As you gain experience and competency across the site, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills operating water carts, articulated dump trucks, loaders, crushers and excavators.

This position is based on a Monday to Friday roster, rotating between day and afternoon shifts, with some Saturday and Sunday work as required. You will join a supportive team where safety, reliability and a strong work ethic are valued.
