Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Quarry Maintenance and Mining Supervisor for the Red Hill Quarry in Australia. You will oversee maintenance tasks for daily mining and crushing operations, and coordinate the on-site stripping fleet to ensure safe, efficient production of aggregates.

You will lead and develop the team, monitor equipment, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in quarrying, mining, or a related industry with supervisory experience preferred.
• Coached and developed your team with a focus on maintenance enhancement and improvement.
• Strong working knowledge of crushing plants and heavy mobile equipment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate quarry production activities, ensuring targets are met.
• Enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations across the site.
• Lead, train, and motivate quarry staff to maximise efficiency and teamwork.
• Work with Site Production Supervisor to monitor equipment and coordinate maintenance, minimising downtime.
• Maintain accurate production records and report on performance metrics.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.
• Bring a strong safety mindset and manage high-risk activities while reducing risk exposure.
