Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking an experienced Quarry Manager to lead Axedale Sand & Gravel Quarry in Country Victoria, 25 minutes east of Bendigo. You will oversee production, safety, logistics and P&L, driving performance and responsible environmental management.

The role requires strong leadership, a track record of transformational change, and the ability to influence stakeholders while maintaining Zero Harm. Competitive salary with a company vehicle and bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• You are an experienced quarry manager/supervisor with relevant industry qualifications.
• Have leadership experience.
• An ability to support continuous improvement across the Supply Chain process to establish good performance through insight and innovative planning.
• A strong leadership mentality with a demonstrated track record in delivering transformational change within a complex business environment.
• The capability to deliver exceptional negotiation and influencing skills when interacting with varying levels of internal and external stakeholders.
• You have a safety mindset with a total commitment to risk management and Zero Harm.
• You are a team player who can multi-task and make quick effective decisions under pressure.
• You have a positive presence in building strong and effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

• Managing the day-to-day operations where you are responsible for quarry development, storm water and environmental management, and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Focused on continuing our approach to rehabilitation and maintaining our reputation within the industry and community as a responsible and sustainable partner.
• Bring a strong safety mindset and manage high risk activities and reduce risk exposure for self and others.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced a Quarry Manager to lead the team at our Axedale Sand & Gravel Quarry in Country Victoria, 25 minutes East of Bendigo.

Reporting to the Area Manager, this role is a multi-faceted role leading the quarry and overseeing the daily management of the operation, including production, continuous improvement, health & safety, logistics and full P&L responsibility.

In your new role, you will be:
