Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a reliable Maintenance Fitter/Welder for the Eastern Region Country West team, based at Clarence Quarry in the Blue Mountains near Lithgow, NSW. The role starts at 5am, finishes around 3pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime including Saturdays.

You will perform maintenance, inspections and repairs on fixed plant, ensure compliance with statutory requirements, and contribute to safety and continuous improvement initiatives within a global brand.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Welding/Boilermaker is essential.
• Experience in Quarry/Mining/Concrete industry preferred.
• Fixed plant experience highly advantageous.
• Mechanical fitting experience preferred.
• Understanding of Australia guarding standards advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily fixed plant inspections and repair faults on the fixed plant and quarry.
• Ensure all plant and equipment operate within statutory requirements.
• Maintain adequate records and report all incidents.
• Advise on and implement improvements to maintenance tasks and plant performance.
• Maintain workshop stock levels to support scheduled/planned work.
• Assist with workshop housekeeping and maintain a clean and safe workshop environment (5S).
