Job summary

IEPro Recruitment is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Brisbane team. The role focuses on cost management, quantity surveying and contractual support across civil infrastructure projects.

Occasional site visits are expected, with a strong office presence. You will work with project delivery and commercial teams to monitor costs, prepare take-offs and manage variations throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Experience in quantity surveying roles within civil infrastructure.
• Experience with cost reporting, measurement, variations and pricing.
• Knowledge of Australian construction contracts and commercial processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, measurements and cost estimates.
• Monitor project costs, budgets and commercial performance.
• Prepare and assess progress claims, variations and final accounts.
• Support procurement and subcontractor tender assessments.
• Review drawings, specifications and project documentation.
• Prepare cost reports, forecasts and financial assessments.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities during delivery.

Job description

IEPro are working with an established civil infrastructure business looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their Brisbane team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded QS who enjoys getting into the detail of project costs, understands civil construction and wants to play an important role in supporting successful project delivery.

The position is Brisbane based, with occasional site visits, offering the opportunity to remain closely connected to construction while working predominantly from the office.

With a salary package of up to $150k + super, this role will suit an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for a stable, long-term opportunity across civil infrastructure.

Opportunity

As Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with project delivery and commercial teams, providing cost management, quantity surveying and contractual support across a range of civil infrastructure projects.

You’ll be involved in measuring works, monitoring costs, assessing variations and supporting commercial decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

The role offers a good balance of technical quantity surveying, commercial responsibility and direct engagement with project teams.

Role

• Preparing detailed quantity take-offs, measurements and cost estimates
• Monitoring project costs, budgets and commercial performance
• Preparing and assessing progress claims, variations and contractual entitlements
• Supporting procurement and subcontractor tender assessments
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and project documentation
• Preparing cost reports, forecasts and financial assessments
• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities throughout project delivery
• Supporting contract administration and final account processes
• Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers and commercial teams
• Undertaking occasional site visits to review progress, verify quantities and support project delivery
• Maintaining accurate commercial records and reporting

About You

To succeed, you will bring:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline, with a Quantity Surveying degree preferred
• Demonstrated experience in a Quantity Surveyor or similar commercial role
• Experience across Australian civil construction or infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of quantity measurement, cost management and construction methodology
• Experience preparing and assessing variations, progress claims and cost reports
• Sound knowledge of construction contracts and commercial processes
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving capability
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with project teams
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
• Experience using CostX or similar quantity surveying software will be highly regarded
