Job summary

Downer is seeking a Manager - Quality & Performance to join the Health & Education team at Bendigo Hospital. You will oversee quality processes, compliance, performance reporting and continuous improvement across services, supporting the Senior Manager.

You are exceptionally organised, with strong risk awareness and the ability to manage multiple priorities. The role requires lead governance, incident reporting, audits, KPI validation and ensuring contractual obligations are met in a 24/7

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement: tertiary qualification in a related field.
• Lead or Internal Auditor qualification (ISO 9001 or equivalent) preferred.
• Experience in quality, performance or contract management in complex or regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Take accountability for day-to-day governance of quality systems, audits, KPI validation and reporting accuracy across all service lines.
• Implement and continuously improve the Performance Monitoring Program and investor reporting regimes.
• Act as escalation point for complex quality, performance and compliance matters; maintain audit-ready, defensible contract position.
• Maintain the Contract Risk Management Plan and Risk & Opportunity Register; draft and deliver incident reporting and investigations.
• In the absence of the Senior Manager, assume full accountability for quality and performance governance, stakeholder engagement and contractual assurance obligations.
