Job summary

Empowerment Care Services in Sydney CBD NSW seeks a senior Service Quality and Workforce Manager to lead safeguarding, practice governance and regulatory compliance across Supported Independent Living services. The role is three days per week, with direct accountability to the Operations Manager and oversight of two senior leads.

You will drive continuous improvement, monitor NDIS standards, supervise managers, and ensure timely regulator notifications and audit outcomes.

Qualifications

• Led quality, safeguarding or practice governance in disability or community services.
• Knowledge of the NDIS Practice Standards, Code of Conduct and incident reporting.
• Experience supervising managers and guiding operational teams.
• Ability to write regulator notifications, investigation reports and committee papers.
• Strong leadership and cross-team influence.

Responsibilities

• Establish and monitor quality, safeguarding and practice frameworks across all SIL houses.
• Provide line management for the Service Workforce Lead and Service Outcomes Lead.
• Oversee restrictive practice governance, including the register and authorisations.
• Receive escalated incidents and coordinate regulatory reporting within statutory timeframes.
• Lead incident reviews and investigations, assign corrective actions and verify closure.
• Maintain risk registers and report material risks to senior management.
• Coordinate the Quality and Governance Committee and terms of reference.
• Monitor changes to NDIS legislation and update policy and practice.
