Job summary

Wilson Transformer Company, based in Victoria, is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure product and service conformance across the lifecycle and drive quality improvements within the Power Transformer Business Unit. Based at Glen Waverley, you will perform audits, inspections, and data-driven improvements in a manufacturing setting.

The role requires a quality/engineering degree and 3–5 years’ QA experience in manufacturing, with strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Degree inQuality Management or Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes systems.
• Excellent communication, time management and planning skills.
• Ability to think critically and solve problems analytically.
• Ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Performing audits at predefined quality gates to ensure products are inspected and tested as per requirements and reporting status to stakeholders.
• Performing receiving inspections on critical parts and components.
• Monitoring non-conformance and verifying corrective and preventive actions with internal and external stakeholders.
• Analysing quality data and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Preparing test reports to record results to fulfil customer requirements.
• Investigating internal and external failures to prevent recurrence and reporting findings to stakeholders.
• Leading internal audits of the Integrated Management System (IMS) processes to improve performance.
• Participating in customer inspections of products and resolving issues raised.
• Ensuring inspection and test records are received, verified, and retained.
• Continually improving Quality Assurance processes and documentation.
