Job summary

Janison Education Group is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our agile squad and own quality across our online assessment platform. This role spans manual, automated and performance testing, working closely with the Project Manager, Product Owners and Developers to embed quality throughout delivery.

You will bring 5+ years of testing experience, strong automation skills, and familiarity with CI/CD. The position offers a flexible work approach and opportunities to influence testing practices

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Automation, Manual and Exploratory testing.
• Hands-on test automation across frameworks, languages and tools.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to write clear bug reports and test docs.
• Experience building and maintaining Test Automation Frameworks.
• Strong non-functional testing skills with tools like JMeter.

Responsibilities

• Conduct manual and automated testing across functional, system, regression and performance phases.
• Design and maintain automated tests; adapt to existing frameworks.
• Evaluate and improve automation frameworks, tools and testing practices.
• Review user stories to design traceable test cases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure test coverage and report progress, risks and issues.
• Produce Test Plan/Test Strategy for projects within own team and across dependencies.
• Design, execute and analyse performance and other non-functional tests for large initiatives.

Job description

As a Quality Engineer, you will join our agile squad and own quality across our online assessment platform, spanning manual, automated and performance testing. You will work closely with the Project Manager, Product Owners and Developers to embed quality throughout delivery. This role suits professionals with broad, adaptable automation expertise and a commitment to quality, reliability and performance.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key responsibilities

This role involves both Manual and Automation Testing.

• Conduct manual and automated testing across functional, system, regression and performance phases.
• Design and maintain automated tests, adapting to existing frameworks or tools.
• Contribute to evaluating and improving automation frameworks, tools and testing practices
• Review user stories to design and execute test cases with traceability to business and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure test coverage and report on testing progress, risks and issues.
• Produced Test Plan/Test Strategy for project within own team, as well as projects with multiple application dependencies.
• Design, execute and analyse performance and other non-functional tests for medium to large scale initiatives.

About You:

• More than 5 years of experience in Automation, Manual testing and Exploratory testing.
• Vast hands‑on test automation experience across frameworks, languages and commercial tools, adapting easily to existing frameworks; experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to write clear and concise bug reports and other test documentation.
• Experience building and maintaining Test Automation Frameworks.
• Strong performance and non‑functional testing experience using tools such as JMeter or similar.
• Ability to engage with various team members, demonstrate sound analytical, design and problem‑solving skills.
• Positive, proactive team player with the ability to work independently under minimum supervision.
• Experience in using test case management tool (TestRail, Xray, Zephyr, etc).
• Deliver Test reporting such as Test Progress report, test summary report, defect reports.
• Experience working with cloud computing platform like Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with accessibility testing, ensuring conformance against WCAG guidelines.
