Job summary

Autosports Group Limited is seeking a Quality Controller / Roadtester to act as the final checkpoint before customer handover. You will perform structured quality inspections and road tests to ensure repairs meet Mercedes-Benz standards, protecting warranty values and customer trust.

You will identify drivability issues with technicians, verify rectification, and document results to support service records. A meticulous, communicative technician with MB familiarity will thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• Qualified Automotive Technician with a Certificate III or equivalent.
• Experience in quality control, road testing, or final inspection in a franchised dealership.
• Mercedes-Benz or equivalent prestige brand experience highly regarded; familiarity with XENTRY/DAS advantageous.
• Strong diagnostic awareness across mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Meticulous attention to detail and the discipline to halt work not meeting the standard.
• Excellent communication to provide clear feedback to technicians and the Workshop Foreman.
• Sound WHS/OHS understanding in a workshop.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structured quality control inspections on all completed vehicles before handover.
• Road test vehicles and document drivability concerns with technicians for rectification.
• Verify customer concerns are rectified and re-test as practical.
• Inspect workmanship for torques, fluid levels, leaks, and correct fittings.
• Record QC failures and rework, supporting root cause analysis.
• Ensure vehicle presentation meets handover standards and cleanliness.
