Job summary

Bindaree Food Group’s Monbeef division is seeking a QA professional to join our factory QA team. You will conduct hygiene and food safety checks and ensure HACCP programs are followed in a fast-paced meat processing plant.

You will monitor product checks, collect samples, keep records, support export compliance, and help drive corrective actions with production to keep audits ready.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Meat Processing (Quality Assurance) or relevant QA experience in food manufacturing.
• Experience in a meat processing/export environment preferred; training available for the right candidate.
• Excellent attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
• Confidence to speak up and work with production teams to fix problems.
• Good computer skills and comfort working in a cold, fast-paced plant environment.
• Full working rights in Australia (essential).

Responsibilities

• Hygiene and food safety: carry out pre-operational and operational hygiene checks and ensure HACCP and food safety programs are followed.
• Product checks: monitor carcases and product against specifications, including temperature, labelling and packaging.
• Sampling and testing: collect microbiological and product samples and keep accurate records of results.
• Export and customer compliance: help ensure product meets export requirements and customer specifications.
• Fixing issues fast: identify non-conformances, raise corrective actions and work with supervisors to resolve them.
• Audit ready: keep documentation accurate and up to date, and support internal, customer and regulatory audits.]

• Audit ready: keep documentation accurate and up to date, and support internal, customer and regulatory audits

We're looking for someone with?

• A qualification in Meat Processing (Quality Assurance), Food Science or similar, or relevant QA experience in food manufacturing
• Experience in a meat processing or export environment (highly regarded, but we'll train the right person)
• Excellent attention to detail and accurate record keeping
• Confidence to speak up and work with production teams to fix problems
• Good computer skills and comfort working in a cold, fast-paced plant environment
