Job summary

Enemix is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to own the quality management for a flagship BESS project in Western Victoria. Lead the development of the QMS, ITPs and documentation across HV, civil works and battery installation.

You will drive audits, non-conformances and handover documentation, collaborating with construction, engineering and commissioning teams to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Proven quality management experience on high voltage projects such as substations, transmission, or grid connections.
• Track record establishing quality systems on construction projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical quality requirements; civil works knowledge (foundations, earthworks, structures).
• Hands-on with ITPs, audits, non-conformance management, and handover documentation.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and relevant Australian Standards.
• Excellent communication and ability to enforce quality standards with subcontractors.
• Versatile; comfortable on-site, in the office and with clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the project Quality Management System, including the Project Quality Plan, procedures and document control.
• Create and oversee Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for electrical HV and civil works, ensuring practical compliance.

• Oversee quality for the HV substation scope, including primary and secondary electrical works and battery installation.

• Partner with construction, engineering and commissioning teams to ensure quality supports delivery.
• Compile quality records and handover documentation for client and asset owner.

Responsibilities

As the QA Manager, you will:

• Create and oversee Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for electrical, high voltage (HV), and civil works, ensuring compliance in practice.
• Manage quality throughout the project lifecycle, from design review and procurement to construction, testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Oversee quality for the HV substation scope, including primary and secondary electrical works, as well as the battery installation.
• Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure their quality systems and records meet project requirements.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• Proven quality management experience on high voltage projects, such as substations, transmission, or grid connections.
• A track record of establishing quality systems on construction projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical quality requirements, with working knowledge of civil works (e.g., foundations, earthworks, structures).
• Hands-on experience with ITPs, audits, non-conformance management, and handover documentation.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and relevant Australian Standards.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to enforce quality standards with subcontractors.
• A versatile mindset, comfortable working on-site, in the office, and with clients.

Desirable but not essential:

• Experience with BESS projects.
• Relevant electrical or engineering qualifications, or a quality certification such as Lead Auditor.
