Overview

Laneway Talent is recruiting on behalf of a large Government Department, seeking Quality Assurance Engineers to join their team. This is a 12-month contract at Senior / EL1 equivalent level, where you’ll contribute to a major digital transformation project as they continue to invest in their technology landscape. To be considered, you must be able to obtain a Baseline security clearance. These roles are open across all states in Australia and offer a hybrid work arrangement.

In This Role You Will

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, contractors will be responsible for testing and validating the operational system, with a focus on security, functionality, performance, usability, and compliance, ensuring the overall quality and reliability of the Digital ID solution. The role involves working with colleagues who operate, maintain, and enhance technology solutions to ensure testing efforts are aligned with quality objectives. This position requires the use of automated testing tools and techniques to confirm that systems and services perform as specified, while also validating that the operating environment, tools, and processes function correctly.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Define acceptance criteria and design test cases to ensure systems and services meet functional, non-functional, and business requirements.
• Conduct manual and automated testing, including regression, functional, performance, security, and usability testing.
• Collaborate with project teams, developers, business analysts, and cyber security specialists to ensure comprehensive coverage and alignment with security and quality objectives.
• Provide feedback throughout requirements, analysis, and design phases, offering improvements and communicating results clearly.
• Maintain compliance with policies, standards, and regulations, supporting audits and recommending enhancements where needed.
