Job summary

V/Line is seeking an experienced and currently qualified Train Driver to join our operations in Albury. This role is for candidates who are already qualified and have passenger or freight rail experience or both, meeting all mandatory requirements.

You will operate rail vehicles safely and professionally, work with others to ensure safe services, and complete driver training as part of ongoing development within a safety-focused team.

Qualifications

• Current Train Driver holding a Certificate IV in Train Driving.
• Standard Gauge qualification between Albury and Seymour is required.
• Safeworking systems knowledge applicable to the role.
• VCE pass, TAFE/trade qualification, or significant relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely, professionally operate rail vehicles in accordance with procedures and timetable requirements.
• Maintain safety, reliability and operational performance.
• Collaborate with operational colleagues to support safe and efficient train running.
• Complete required driver training and associated training modules.
• Contribute to the care and maintenance of equipment used in duties.
• Work effectively as part of a professional, safety-focused operational team.
