Job summary

Alstom is seeking a qualified Spray Painter to join its production team in Australia. You will prepare surfaces, mix paints, and apply finishes to meet specifications while maintaining a safe, clean work area.

The role requires Cert III in Automotive Refinishing Technology, Aircraft Surface Finishing, or Automotive Vehicle Body, along with attention to detail and ability to follow procedures. 6-month contract with day shift training and transition to night shift, weekly payroll, and Full PPE

Qualifications

• Must have Cert III in Automotive Refinishing Technology, Cert III in AircraftSurface Finishing, or Cert III in Automotive Vehicle Body (Qualifications must be available for verification at interview)
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
• The ability to follow instructions, procedures, and safety standards
• Willingness to complete a Drug and Alcohol Test and National Police Check following a successful interview

Responsibilities

• Mix and match paints and finishes to achieve the required colours and textures

Reporting to the Line Manager, you will work as part of a collaborativeproduction team to:

• Prepare surfaces for painting through scraping,sanding and other preparation techniques.
• Mix and match paints and finishes to achieve therequired colours and textures.
• Apply paint in accordance with specificationsand finish requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe workingenvironment in line with workplace safety policies.

Your Profile

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• Musthave Cert III in Automotive Refinishing Technology, Cert III in AircraftSurface Finishing, or Cert III in Automotive Vehicle Body. ( Qualificationsmust be available for verification at interview)
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment toquality workmanship.
• The ability to follow instructions, procedures,and safety standards.

Contract Duration : 6 months, with potential for extension

Work Hours : Initial training on day shift, 6AM – 2:30 PM followed by transition to night shift 10 PM – 6:30 AM

PayRate : $64.90/hr + Super + applicable penalties and 30% night shift loading, where applicable.
