Job summary

Industry Solar PTY LTD is seeking qualified solar installation technicians to install residential and commercial PV systems across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and surrounds.

You will carry out racking, panel mounting, DC/AC wiring, battery storage integration, commissioning and customer handover, ensuring compliance with SAA/AS/NZS standards.

Requirements include a QLD Electrical Work Licence, Working at Heights, a current driver’s licence and proven solar installation experience.

Qualifications

• QLD Electrical Work Licence is required.
• Working at heights ticket (or ability to obtain before start).
• Current driver’s licence.
• Demonstrated solar installation experience with quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Install residential and commercial solar PV systems end-to-end: racking and panel installation, DC and AC wiring, isolators, switchboard work and metering
• Install and commission battery energy storage systems, including hybrid configurations
• Complete installs to SAA guidelines and Queensland safety requirements
• Sign off installs with documentation and photos for STC claims
• Conduct testing, commissioning and customer handover
• Carry out service calls, fault-finding and rectification
• Maintain a safe worksite and report on job completion

Job description

Install residential and commercial solar PV systems end-to-end: racking and panel installation, DC and AC wiring, isolators, switchboard work and metering. Install and commission battery energy storage systems (GoodWe, Sig and similar), including hybrid and off-grid configurations. Complete installs to SAA guidelines, AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 5033 and AS/NZS 5139, and Queensland electrical safety requirements. Sign off installs under your own SAA accreditation, including compliance documentation and installation photos required for STC claims. Conduct testing, commissioning and customer handover, including monitoring setup and a walkthrough of the system.

Complete installs to SAA guidelines, AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 5033 and AS/NZS 5139, and Queensland electrical safety requirements

Sign off installs under your own SAA accreditation, including compliance documentation and installation photos required for STC claims

Conduct testing, commissioning and customer handover, including monitoring setup and a walkthrough of the system

Carry out service calls, fault-finding and rectification work as required

Maintain a safe worksite: SWMS compliance, working-at-heights procedures, and tidy site presentation

Look after company vehicles, tools and stock, and report accurately on job completion

Reliable and punctual across job sites from Yatala base throughout Brisbane, Gold Coast and surrounds

Professional with customers in their homes and on commercial sites

Workmanship to standard: concealed cabling and conduit runs, clean switchboards, no shortcuts
