Job summary

City of Parramatta is seeking a qualified horticulturalist for a hands-on role maintaining parks, gardens and open spaces. You will use your technical horticultural knowledge to undertake landscaping improvements, operate mowing equipment, and apply industry best practices to deliver safe, attractive spaces for the community.

The role requires Certificate III in Horticulture (or higher), NSW MR Driver Licence and a White Card.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Horticulture or higher is required.
• NSW MR Driver Licence is required.
• White Card is required.

Responsibilities

• Undertake park and landscaping works to uplift key parks in the area.
• Make decisions and apply best practices of horticulture and industry.
• Operate mowing equipment and attachments to maintain parks and open spaces.
• Inspect parks and facilities to ensure safety and presentation.
• Record work and report issues using Council's digital systems
