Job summary

City of Perth is seeking a hands-on horticulture worker to maintain parks and gardens. You will mow, edge, plant and care for green spaces across the City, collaborating with a small crew in an outdoor setting.

Requirements include a C class driving licence, a Construction Induction Card, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks. A Certificate II in Horticulture is preferred; MR licence is an advantage. Training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Hands-on horticultural and manual work experience.
• Current C class driver’s licence and Construction Induction Card (White/Blue Card).
• Ability to carry out physical work, walking and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Mowing, brush-cutting and edging parks and reserves.
• Preparing garden beds and planting.
• Operating horticultural machinery and keeping tools safe and ready to use.
• Reporting maintenance issues and helping keep public spaces safe and welcoming.
