Job summary

Bexley Golf Club is seeking a hands-on Qualified or Apprentice Mechanic/Grounds person to help maintain our course equipment and support the presentation of the golf course. You’ll service, repair and maintain machinery such as mowers, utility vehicles and other course equipment.

This role blends workshop and outdoor work with hours generally between 5:00 am and 1:30 pm; overtime or weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Interest in mechanical work, machinery and outdoor duties.
• Ability to diagnose problems and repair equipment.
• Reliability, initiative and teamwork.
• Safety and presentation of the course.
• Relevant mechanical qualifications or experience.
• Experience with turf equipment or golf course maintenance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair and maintain mowing and course equipment.
• Support the grounds team with day-to-day course maintenance.

Qualified applicants and apprentices welcome | Bexley Golf Club

Bexley Golf Club is looking for a hands‑on person to help maintain our course equipment and support the presentation of the golf course.

This role offers a mix of workshop and outdoor work. You’ll service, repair and maintain machinery such as mowers, utility vehicles and other course equipment, while also assisting the grounds team with day‑to‑day course maintenance. We welcome applications from qualified mechanics and people looking to complete an apprenticeship and or start one.

You’ll join a friendly team with a great work‑life balance. Working hours generally fall between 5:00 am and 1:30 pm, overtime or afternoon shift/weekends may be required.

What we’re looking for:

• An interest in mechanical work, machinery and working outdoors
• A practical approach to diagnosing problems and getting equipment back in action
• Reliability, initiative and a willingness to work as part of a team
• Care for safety and the presentation of the course
• Relevant mechanical qualifications or experience, if applying as a qualified mechanic
• Experience with turf equipment or golf course maintenance would be an advantage, but it isn’t essential. We’re happy to support the right apprentice as they learn.
