Job summary

Tamworth Golf Club is seeking a motivated and mechanically capable individual to join our team in a full-time position focused on golf course equipment maintenance and course grounds maintenance. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys working with machinery and is confident maintaining and repairing a range of golf course maintenance equipment.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge and experience with diesel and petrol engines, hydraulics and auto-electrical systems.
• A willingness to undertake a variety of mechanical and grounds maintenance tasks.
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• A good level of physical fitness.
• The ability and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• A strong work ethic and reliable attitude.
• A current and valid driver's licence.
• The availability and willingness to undertake rostered weekend early-morning work.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining, servicing and repairing our fleet of golf course maintenance equipment
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults
• Working with diesel and petrol engines
• Maintaining and repairing hydraulic systems
• Undertaking auto-electrical fault finding and repairs
• Assisting with general golf course and grounds maintenance
• Working as part of a team to ensure the course and equipment are maintained to a high standard
• Participating in a rotating weekend roster for early-morning course maintenance, including mowing of greens
• Undertaking weekend work as required on a rotating roster
