Qualifications

• Holds a recognised Motorcycle Mechanic trade qualification.
• Solid experience in a professional motorcycle workshop.
• Confident diagnosing faults and solving problems.
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Able to work independently and take ownership of jobs.
• Takes pride in workmanship; is reliable, organised and professional.
• Committed to safety and quality.
• Has genuine interest in motorcycles.
• Experience with performance motorcycles, modifications, dyno tuning or high‑performance applications highly regarded.

Australian Performance Motorcycles is a growing specialist motorcycle workshop based in Raymond Terrace, specialising in servicing, repairs, diagnostics and performance work for customers across Newcastle, the Hunter and Port Stephens.

The workshop is currently owner-operated, providing the successful candidate with the opportunity to work directly alongside the owner in a hands‑on role with genuine autonomy.

The role

Your work will include:

• Motorcycle servicing and scheduled maintenance

There will be plenty of variety, with the opportunity to work across different makes, models and types of motorcycles.

We're looking for someone who:

• Holds a recognised Motorcycle Mechanic trade qualification
• Has experience working with Ducati and Harley Davidson models (desirable)
• Has MIG or TIG welding experience (desirable)
• Has solid experience in a professional motorcycle workshop
• Is confident diagnosing faults and solving problems
• Has strong mechanical and electrical knowledge
• Can work independently and take ownership of jobs
• Takes genuine pride in their workmanship
• Is reliable, organised and professional
• Is committed to safety and quality
• Has a genuine interest in motorcycles

Experience with performance motorcycles, modifications, dyno tuning or high‑performance applications will be highly regarded.

We're particularly interested in someone who is ambitious, practical and wants to grow with a business.

You don't need to know everything — but you do need to care about doing the job properly, be willing to learn and be someone we can trust to take ownership of their work.
