Moonee Valley City Council invites qualified Kindergarten Teachers to join our growing network of council-operated kindergartens for 2027. Opportunities across various rosters with flexible hours, including team teaching arrangements, are available.

We seek passionate educators with a Bachelor in Early Childhood Education and Care, strong knowledge of child safety, and a collaborative approach to planning and delivering high-quality learning experiences for young children.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent.
• At least 2 years’ experience in early childhood settings.
• Knowledge of the National Quality Framework, Child Safe Standards and approved early years learning frameworks.
• Experience with collaborative team-teaching and rotational models.
• Commitment to child safety and safeguarding principles.
• Ability to work flexibly with colleagues and plan programs that prioritise children's learning.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging, safe and inclusive learning environments for children.
• Assist in planning and implementing programs prioritising children's rights, wellbeing and learning.
• Collaborate in team-teaching and rotational delivery modes to support continuity of learning.
• Apply trauma-informed approaches to support children's regulation and relationships.
