Job summary

Green by Nature is seeking a hands-on Grounds Supervisor to lead a team of horticultural maintenance staff across our Victorian sites. You will oversee mowing, pruning, mulching, irrigation, and seasonal planting while ensuring premium presentation standards and safety compliance.

You will bring a Certificate III in Horticulture, solid knowledge of field tools, and strong communication and prioritisation skills to keep projects on track and staff supported.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens.
• Excellent knowledge of horticultural tools and equipment.
• Willing to obtain White Card and Working with Children's check if not already held.
• Strong communication skills and ability to prioritise workflows.

• Perform regular horticultural maintenance including mowing, edging, pruning, weeding, mulching, and fertilising
• Maintain ornamental gardens, hedges, lawns, and feature planting areas to premium presentation standard
• Operate and maintain horticultural tools, machinery, and irrigation systems safely and effectively
• Assist in seasonal planting, turf renovation, and landscape improvement projects
• Identify and treat plant pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies
• Work collaboratively with grounds and facilities staff to support school events and operational needs

About You

You have a Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens and excellent working knowledge of all of the tools and equipment used in the field, such as hedgers, whipper snippers, blowers, hand tools and some petrol operated equipment.

You pride yourself on your well-honed communication skills.
