Job summary

AGA in Deer Park, VIC, is offering a trainer role for qualified plumbers to transition into education. You will be paid while you study and supported to complete your Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE), gaining hands-on teaching experience.

No training qualification? No problem — you’ll start as Trainer Under Direction with mentoring to build a rewarding career shaping the next generation of tradespeople.

Qualifications

• Qualified plumber with industry experience.
• Interest in mentoring apprentices.
• Strong communication and teaching skills.
• Willingness to pursue TAE qualification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training to apprentices and supervise on-site tasks.
• Assist learners to complete Certificate IV.
• Develop lesson plans and assess learner progress.
• Provide feedback and coaching to trainees.
