Job summary

Hi-Tech Modular Homes is expanding its operations in regional New South Wales and is seeking an experienced Qualified Carpenter to join our manufacturing team at our Elong Elong facility. You will contribute to modular construction projects from framing through to final completion in a controlled factory environment.

• Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent recognised trade qualification.
• At least five years of relevant carpentry or construction experience.
• Current White Card.
• Your own standard carpentry tools.
• Ability to confidently read and interpret building plans.
• Sound knowledge of residential construction methods and Australian building practices.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Good attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship.
• Ability to organise work and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Punctual and professional approach to work.
• Current driver’s licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Undertake a variety of carpentry and building tasks throughout modular construction stages.
• Construct timber wall frames, floor systems, subfloors and roof structures.
• Complete structural and general carpentry work.
• Install internal and external doors, skirting boards and architraves.
• Carry out second-fix and finishing carpentry.
• Install timber cladding, decking and pergolas.
• Install cabinetry, joinery and other fixtures.
• Read and work from construction plans, drawings and specifications.
• Check measurements, levels and completed work for accuracy.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship and quality control.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
• Coordinate with supervisors, tradespeople and other factory team members.
• Assist with general construction activities when required.

Hi-Tech Modular Homes is expanding its operations in regional New South Wales and is seeking an experienced Qualified Carpenter to join our manufacturing team at our Elong Elong facility.

This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of modular residential and commercial building projects in a controlled factory environment. You will play an important role in producing high-quality modular buildings from the framing stage through to final completion.

We are looking for an experienced carpenter who takes pride in their workmanship and works well within a practical, team-focused environment.

About the Position

• Working as part of our factory construction team, you will undertake a variety of carpentry and building tasks throughout the different stages of modular construction.
• Constructing timber wall frames, floor systems, subfloors and roof structures
• Completing structural and general carpentry work
• Installing internal and external doors, skirting boards and architraves
• Carrying out second-fix and finishing carpentry
• Installing timber cladding, decking and pergolas
• Installing cabinetry, joinery and other fixtures

About You
