Job summary

QantasLink, Australi​a's largest regional airline, invites applications for a First Officer. This full-time position bases in Cairns, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, offering a pathway through training and progression within the Qantas Group.

You will fly short sectors across regional ports with a strong emphasis on safety, teamwork and work-life balance in a community-oriented environment. Applicants must meet ATPL/CPL, Endorsements, medical and security requirements.

Qualifications

• Must hold an Australian ATPL(A) or CPL(A) with passes in all ATPL theory subjects.
• Endorsements for Instrument Approach 2D and 3D on a Multi Engine aircraft.
• Current CASA Class 1 Medical Certificate is required.
• Must pass a Drug and Alcohol test and hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
• Passport must be valid for travel to all Qantas ports of call.

Responsibilities

• Operate as First Officer on diverse regional routes.
• Participate in training and check routines to progress toward command.
• Maintain high safety standards and professional conduct on all flights.
• Support team onboarding and pre-employment medical requirements.

As a First Officer you’ll have:

• A minimum of 500 hours total flight time in an aeroplane (Preference will be given to candidates who have flown at least 50 hours in the previous 12 months )
• An Australian Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL (A)) or Australian Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL (A)) with passes in all Australian ATPL Theory subjects
• Hold endorsements for Instrument Approach 2D and 3D on a Australian Instrument Rating - Multi Engine Aeroplane
• A Level 6 English Language Proficiency on your Licence
• A current CASA Class 1 Aviation Medical Certificate
• The ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol Test
• The ability to pass a Qantas pre-employment medical
• The ability to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
• A current passport with unrestricted access to all Qantas ports of call
• The right to work in Australia / New Zealand without restriction or sponsorship
