Downer Professional Services in Canberra is seeking a Quality Engineer to strengthen governance and compliance across defence projects. You will review Engineering Plans, assure EMS performance and maintain AEO certification, and provide guidance on Australian and International standards as required by Defence.

The role requires current AGSVA security clearance and, in some cases, ITAR familiarity. You will lead continuous improvement across Engineering, Logistics and Cyber, delivering

We currently have an opportunity for a Quality Engineer in Canberra to contribute to Engineering Plans and oversee governance and compliance.

What You’ll Do

This role offers a broad scope, with key role responsibilities including:

Conduct reviews and analysis to assure organisational performance of the EMS to maintain AEO certification .

Review of Engineering Artefacts including all project/product level Engineering Plans to assure compliance to standards.

• Providing direction to projects/products on the relevant Australian and International Standards, regulations and Defence requirements.
• Leadership of continual improvement actions across the Engineering, Logistics and Cyber, including pre and post activity reviews.

Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain an AGSVA Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
