Compass Education in Melbourne is hiring a QA Engineer to join Griddle, the timetabling platform used by thousands of schools daily. The role covers end-to-end testing and quality gates before releases, with a path toward full stack development.

You'll own manual testing, run pre-release regression, and write automated tests (UI/API). You’ll collaborate with engineers, use AI tools to accelerate testing, and grow toward backend and frontend work over time. Hybrid work from our Melbourne hub.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of manual testing experience in a software environment.
• Comfort with writing automated tests and contributing to test automation strategy.
• Experience or interest in using AI tools to accelerate testing and development work.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end testing for the Griddle platform, including pre-release sign-off.
• Write and maintain automated UI/API tests to reduce manual testing load.
• Collaborate with engineers to plan testing across the stack and ensure quality before releases.
