Job summary

NextPlay on the Gold Coast is seeking a QA engineer to help ship important projects and ensure reliable releases. You’ll work on core platforms and help bring a new product to market.

You’ll collaborate with a small engineering team, build Playwright tests, run in CI/CD, and leverage AI to streamline testing, while performing manual testing to cover gaps. This is a fast-moving startup environment on site.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of QA testing experience in startup or scale-up.
• Experience with Playwright for end-to-end tests.
• Ability to work with CI/CD pipelines and regression testing.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Playwright end-to-end tests for a React web app.
• Run tests through CI/CD and keep them stable as code ships quickly.
• Use AI to generate, manage and run tests across the team.
• Test APIs (REST and GraphQL), integrations, data and regression.
• Log defects clearly and help decide what gets fixed first.
• Perform manual and exploratory testing where automation doesn’t reach.
