Job summary

Westbury Partners in Sydney is seeking a Python Backend Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain reliable backend services and scalable RESTful APIs. You will build integrations with databases and third-party platforms and ensure secure, high-performance software.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software engineering principles.
• Experience building REST APIs and backend applications, working with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with Git and developing automated tests.
• Familiarity with Django, Flask, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, Docker, cloud platforms, CI/CD, asynchronous processing, message queues, microservices, or Agile/Scrum environments is a plus.

About You:

• You're a capable Python developer with at least two years of professional software development experience and a strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software engineering principles.
