Job summary

IMC Trading is seeking a software engineer in Sydney to develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-performance Python applications. You will build agentic workflows for first-pass analysis, design end-to-end agents, and own development from gathering requirements to production deployment.

You will work with cross-functional teams, apply automated testing, and use agentic tools to move fast while preserving quality. Familiarity with ML/AI concepts is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience with Python.
• Shipped projects involving LLMs or agentic tooling and able to discuss outcomes.
• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines; strong communication across teams.

• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-performance Python applications.
• Build agentic workflows that provide first-pass analysis for business teams.
• Design end-to-end agents that gather data, identify causes, and enable expert interrogation.
