Job summary

IMC's Sydney Business Operations Engineering team builds scalable, business-critical applications and tools that automate and support teams across IMC. Join a small team with real ownership and direct access to stakeholders to turn requirements into automated, AI-enhanced solutions.

You will develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-performance Python applications, design end-to-end agents, and push production with strong automated testing and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience with Python.
• Experience shipping projects with LLMs or agentic tooling.
• Strong automated testing and CI/CD experience.
• Ability to work with non-technical stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-performance Python applications.
• Build agentic workflows that start analysis from a machine-generated first pass.
• Design end-to-end agents that gather data, identify causes, and present results for expert review.
• Own end-to-end development from requirements gathering to production deployment.
• Leverage agentic coding tools to accelerate delivery with production-grade quality.
• Apply automated testing practices and frequent deployments to deliver incremental value.
• Balance latency, throughput, simplicity, scalability, and maintainability in a complex tech landscape.
