Job summary

Symmetry Human Resources seeks a hands-on Quality Control Officer for a Caringbah facility, ensuring PVC pipe products meet specifications. You will inspect, test, and document QC results on the factory floor.

Experience in plastics, PVC extrusion and pipe manufacturing is highly regarded. Strong attention to detail, safety focus, and the ability to work with production teams to maintain traceability and ISO 9001 quality standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in Quality Control within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with plastics, PVC, extrusion, pipe manufacturing or a similar industry.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
• Good understanding of measurements, specifications and tolerances.
• Ability to identify quality issues and communicate them clearly to production.
• Strong written and computer skills for maintaining quality records.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine quality inspections and testing of PVC pipe and manufactured products.
• Check product dimensions including diameter, wall thickness and length.
• Carry out visual inspections and identify product defects.
• Sample and test products throughout the production process.
• Record test results and maintain QC documentation.
• Identify and report non-conforming products and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production to investigate quality issues and implement improvements.
• Monitor production against specifications and quality procedures.
