Job summary

Electro Optic Systems in Canberra is seeking 2 Quality Officers for Receipt Inspection to control what enters our supply chain. Based in the goods inwards section at Hume, you will inspect and verify incoming materials against orders and drawings, review certificates, and decide releases or quarantine.

You will book receipts and outcomes in ERP and track supplier non-conformances to closure. This hands-on role is suited to someone accurate and organised who can work at pace through busy windows.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in similar role.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
• Knowledge of IPC standards related to electronic assemblies preferred.
• Experience in quality inspections.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and verify incoming materials and components against purchase orders, drawings and specifications.
• Review supplier Certificates of Conformity and material certificates.
• Release stock to production or quarantine it.
• Book receipts and inspection outcomes into the ERP system.
• Raise supplier non-conformances and track them to closure.
• Maintain traceability records from goods arrival on the dock.
• Create process checklists and coordinate quality pre-transfer inspections between Queanbeyan and Hume.

EOS is seeking 2 Quality Officers - Receipt Inspection, to control what enters our supply chain.
Based in goods inwards section at Hume (Canberra) and reporting to the HSEQ Manager, you will inspect and verify incoming materials and components against purchase orders, drawings, and specifications, review supplier Certificates of Conformity and material certificates, and either release stock to production or quarantine it.
You will book receipts and inspection outcomes into the ERP system, raise supplier non-conformances and track them to closure, and maintain traceability records from the moment goods arrive on the dock.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone accurate and organised who can work at pace through busy delivery windows without letting a non-conforming part through.
There are 2 Full Time Fixed Term vacancies available for 12-month period based at Hume, Canberra.

Other Duties

• Collection of batches, record and maintain inspection reports and review supplier quality documented information.
• Create process checklists and coordinate quality pre-transfer inspections of product LRUs between Queanbeyan and Hume to achieve the project delivery schedules.
• Review and suggest improvements to quality inspection process instruction and test documentation.
• Using measuring and monitoring equipment such as vernier, micrometre, microscope to measure the product conformity.
• Draft of non-conformance reports for quality issues and review corrective actions.
• Contribute to MRB (Material Review Board) process.
• Implement product defects management as per organisations procedure.
• Perform other ad hoc activities to support Quality team as directed.

Experience

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering preferred
• Minimum 2 years' experience in similar role.
• Computer skills including Word, Excel, document management systems such as SharePoint.
• Sound knowledge/ certification of relevant IPC standard(s) related to electronic assemblies is preferred.
• Previous experience in quality inspections
