Qualifikationen

• Experience with warehouse management responsibilities relating to materials management.
• Experience with computerised supply systems for procurement, contract and materials management.
• Experience using PC applications and systems.
• Knowledge of supply practices and procedures and ability to develop/review procedures.
• Understanding of Accounts Payable practices and principles.
• Current C Class Drivers licence.
• Current LF Class Forklift Operators licence.
• Current WP Class high risk licence (Boom type elevating work platform).
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.

Aufgaben

• Contribute to the efficient daily operation of the Purchasing and Warehouse Management function.
• Receive, check, store, and issue maintenance parts and consumables.
• Pick and prepare parts for planned maintenance and breakdown work.
• Inventory control, stocktaking and maintaining accurate stock records.
• Conduct cyclic reviews of inventory within Supply Stores.
• Identify stock discrepancies and maintain accurate records.
• Liaise with Supplier Sales Representatives.
• Arrange for servicing/maintenance of equipment and plant.
• Process all documentation for issues/receipts including returns.
• Expedite purchase orders and notify end users of delivery dates.
• Maintain effective intra- and inter-divisional relationships.
• Safe operation of forklifts and pallets where authorised.
• Work with maintenance teams to ensure timely availability of parts.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safe storage.

Position: Purchasing & Warehouse Officer

Contract Duration: 6 months duration

Commencement: ASAP

Location: Kwinana, WA

Weekly Hours: Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week

Salary: $51.40 per hour (flat rate on all hours)

About the Position

The Purchasing & Warehouse Officer supports the efficient operation of the Warehouse through purchasing, inventory control, supply contract administration and distribution activities. Reporting to the Purchasing & Warehouse Supervisor, this role helps ensure the timely and cost-effective supply of material and equipment to support operational requirements.

Duties

• Contribute to the efficient and effective daily operation of the Purchasing and Warehouse Management function
• Receive, check, store, and issue maintenance parts and consumables
• Pick and prepare parts / materials for planned maintenance and breakdown work
• Inventory control, stocktaking and maintaining accurate stock records
• Conduct Cyclic Reviews of inventory within Supply Stores
• Identifying stock discrepancies
• Maintain accurate transaction records
• Liaise with Supplier Sales Representatives
• Arrange for servicing and maintenance of equipment and plant
• Complete and process all documentation for all issues and receipts including the return of stock, projects, direct supply and rotatable items.
• Expediate purchase orders for stock items and direct supply, ensuring the end user is notified of the delivery and availability dates
• Establish and maintain effective intra-divisional and cross-divisional working relationships
• Safe operation of forklifts, pallet jacks and other materials-handling equipment where authorised
• Work with maintenance supervisors, planners, and tradespeople to support timely availability of parts
• Maintain good housekeeping and safe storage arrangements
• Managing consumables, tools, spare parts and, where relevant, hazardous materials
• Using computerised inventory, purchasing or maintenance-management systems

Qualifications & Experience

• Demonstrated experience with warehouse management responsibilities relating to materials management
• Demonstrated experience with computerised supply systems in relation to procurement, contract and materials management
• Demonstrated experience in using PC applications and systems
• Well-developed knowledge of supply practices and procedures and demonstrated ability to develop new and review existing procedures
• Understanding of Accounts Payable practices and principles
• Current “C” Class Drivers licence
• Current “LF” Class Forklift Operators licence
• Current “WP” Class high risk license (Boom type elevating work platform)
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
