Job summary

The Shift People is recruiting a Purchasing & Procurement Specialist for a growing food manufacturer in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales. You will manage purchasing of raw materials and packaging, coordinate suppliers, and support accurate inventory and financial records to keep production on track.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in purchasing, procurement, inventory or supply chain.
• Experience in manufacturing or food production is highly regarded.
• Experience with CIN7, DEAR or similar ERP.
• Experience with Xero or other accounting software.
• Strong Excel and data management skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proactive with continuous improvement mindset.

• Assist with inventory costing, landed costs and inventory reconciliations.
• Support stocktakes, inventory adjustments and month-end reporting.
• Maintain accurate product, supplier and pricing master data.

Continuous Improvement

• Prepare purchasing and inventory reports.
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes and system efficiencies.
• Assist with documenting purchasing procedures and standard operating processes.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain operations.

About You:
You'll be someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, efficient and well‑organised work.
You’ll also bring:

• 3+ years' experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory administration or supply chain.
• Experience working within a manufacturing or food production environment (highly regarded).
• Experience using ERP systems such as CIN7, DEAR or similar.
• Experience with Xero or other accounting software.
• Strong Excel and data management skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• A proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
