Job summary

United Cladding, an aluminum cladding business based in Truganina, Victoria, is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to manage procurement and supplier relationships for Australian and overseas suppliers. You will oversee budgets, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery to support project schedules.

Based at our Truganina workplace, you will lead procurement activities, monitor performance, and collaborate with internal teams to optimize operations and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in purchasing or procurement.

Responsibilities

About the role

United Cladding is an aluminum cladding business based in Truganina, Victoria. We provide integrated cladding solutions, including in-house CAD design, CNC fabrication, material supply and installation services. We are currently seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager for procurement and supply management, sourcing materials and products from Australian and overseas suppliers at competitive prices while ensuring quality and timely delivery. Based at our Truganina workplace, you will manage supplier relationships, monitor purchasing requirements and work closely with internal teams to support daily operations and project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage the purchasing of materials, products and services from Australian and overseas suppliers.
• Evaluate and select suppliers based on cost, quality, capacity, reliability and delivery performance.
• Negotiate and manage supply contracts, pricing, payment terms and delivery arrangements.
• Oversee purchasing budgets, monitor expenditure and identify opportunities to improve value and control costs.
• Coordinate with internal teams to forecast demand and ensure supply meets operational needs and project schedules.
• Monitor supplier performance and manage supply risks, shortages, quality concerns and delivery delays.
• Oversee procurement arrangements, including coordination with freight forwarders and customs brokers where required.

About you

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Commerce, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in purchasing or procurement.
• In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, contract negotiation.
• Strong leadership, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proficient in procurement and inventory management systems and Microsoft Office.
