Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental company, is seeking a hands-on Installer to join the Pump & Dewatering team. You’ll install, commission and maintain pumping systems on customer sites, and work across major civil, infrastructure and utilities projects.

You’ll interpret installation drawings, follow safety procedures and collaborate with site personnel to ensure high-quality, safe outcomes on every project.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, civil, infrastructure, utilities, earthmoving, equipment hire or related industry.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Experience with trench support, shoring, propping, formwork, excavation support systems or similar construction products.
• Ability to read and interpret installation drawings and site plans.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying site and weather conditions.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Willingness to learn specialist systems and installation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and maintain pump and dewatering systems on customer sites.
• Work on major civil construction, infrastructure and utilities projects.
• Assist with interpretation of engineered installation drawings and site plans.
• Conduct equipment inspections before installation to ensure safety and compliance.
• Load, unload and secure equipment for transport to and from customer sites.
• Work alongside customers, operators and site personnel during installations.
• Safely recover and demobilise equipment from completed projects.
• Identify damaged or defective equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Complete installation and equipment documentation accurately.
