Job summary
United Rentals is seeking a hands-on Installer for the Pump & Dewatering team in Australia. You will install, commission and maintain pumping and dewatering systems across major projects, interpreting drawings, ensuring safety, and coordinating with site personnel.
This role involves outdoor work, travel to sites and a strong emphasis on quality and accuracy. Ideal candidates have construction or related experience, a valid driver’s license, and a proactive safety mindset.
Qualifications
- Experience in construction, civil, infrastructure, utilities or related industry.
- Ability to read/interp installation drawings and site plans.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
Responsibilities
- Install, commission and maintain pump and dewatering systems on customer sites.
- Work on major civil, infrastructure and utilities projects.
- Interpret engineered installation drawings and site plans.
- Conduct equipment inspections before installation for safety/compliance.
- Load, unload and secure equipment for transport to sites.
- Collaborate with customers, operators and site personnel during installations.
- Demobilise equipment after project completion.
- Report damaged/defective equipment and maintenance needs.
- Document installation activities accurately.
