Job summary

EMACS Electrical & Mechanical Repairs – Yatala QLD is a workshop-focused service provider for rotating machinery, specializing in pumps, gearboxes, and electric motor repairs for mining and heavy industry.

We require experienced Mechanical Fitters with extensive workshop maintenance and overhaul experience. The role emphasises safety, teamwork, and the ability to work overtime; occasional site work may be required.

Qualifications

• Trade qualifications as a Mechanical Fitter.
• Ability to work unsupervised and in a team with a strong safety focus.
• Flexibility to work overtime to meet deadlines and undertake site work when required.
• Excellent communication with team and clients.

Located inYatala, EMACS services the mining, electrical and mechanical repair industry, specialising in electric motors, pumps and gearbox repairs.

We are QA accredited (ISO 9001:2015 and AS/NZS 3800-2012 ANZEx scheme) and pride ourselves on being a 24/7 one stop shop for all heavy mechanical and electric repairs.

About the Role

We require experienced and motivated Mechanical Fitters with extensive experience in all aspects of maintenance and overhaul of Pumps and/or Gearboxes in a workshop environment.

Skills and Experience

• Trade qualifications as a Mechanical Fitter
• Excellent communication skills when dealing with team members and clients
• The ability to work unsupervised and demonstrate a can-do attitude in a team environment
• A very strong safety focus
• Flexibility to work overtime in order to meet deadlines
• Ability to undertake site work when required
• Current driver's and forklift licences
