Job summary

Warrnambool City Council is seeking a Municipal Maintenance and Construction Worker to join our permanent full-time team. This hands-on role focuses on maintaining roads, footpaths, drains, and public assets to keep Warrnambool safe and well presented.

You will operate heavy plant and equipment, perform routine servicing, and follow SOPs and SWMS to ensure safe, efficient work. This position offers a strong local government career with good benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a range of heavy plant and equipment.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety standards and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Physically fit for manual outdoor work in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain heavy plant and equipment.
• Assist with construction and maintenance of roads, footpaths, drains and other assets.
• Perform routine servicing and maintenance of mechanical plant and equipment.
• Adhere to SOPs and SWMS for safe, efficient work.
• Maintain designated work areas to required standards and complete duties on time.
