Job summary

Recruitment Edge is seeking a hands-on Cleansing Services Officer – Waste to work across Parramatta’s Local Government Area, keeping public spaces clean, safe and presentable for the community. You will perform cleansing and waste-related duties across council assets and facilities to meet service standards.

The role involves following schedules, assisting the supervisor and team, and contributing to safety and accuracy of records.

Qualifications

Current NSW Class C driver's licence; MR licence desirable.
Current White Card (Construction Induction).
Current Traffic Control tickets (TCR and IMP), or willingness/ability to obtain before employment.
Chemical Use AQF Level 3 qualification, or willingness/ability to obtain before employment.

Responsibilities

Carry out scheduled cleansing and waste-related works across public areas within Parramatta’s LGA.
Inspect public spaces and Council assets to identify hazards, maintenance issues and potential risks.
Follow work schedules and service standards to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
Maintain a strong focus on workplace health and safety, including the safe use of tools, equipment and materials.
Complete required administrative tasks and maintain accurate records.
Adapt to changing priorities and assist other operational teams during wet weather, emergencies and other service requirements.
Identify opportunities to improve work practices, procedures and service delivery.
Provide professional and courteous service to the community while representing Council.
