Recruitment Edge is seeking a self-motivated candidate for a Local Government cleansing role in Sydney. You will undertake street cleaning, litter collection and operate minor plant such as high pressure hoses and blowers.

The job requires a White Card and a high visibility shirt or vest, with preference for experience in open space teams and the ability to work without supervision.

This very busy Cleansing Team works hard to keep our city's roads, paths and lane ways clean. We require a self-motivated person who takes pride in their work to join this very busy team.

Your duties will include:

• Undertaking street cleaning
• Carrying out routine cleaning and litter collection in such areas as amenities, footpaths, roads, shopping centres, pits and car parks
• Operate minor plant including high pressure hoses and blowers
• Carrying out inspections of facilities and reporting on maintenance and equipment issues.
• Experience driving a compactor.

White Card essential

High visibility shirt or vest essential

Experience within open space teams an advantage

Ability to work without supervision

Previous experience in a similar role an advantage
