Blacktown City Council is seeking a trade-qualified Gardener to join our Greenspace Services team. You will care for parks, gardens and high-profile spaces, leading by example and maintaining safety and presentation standards.

You will operate mowers and trimming tools, check irrigation, monitor plant health, and support apprentices, ensuring work meets high horticultural standards in busy public areas.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in horticulture or equivalent.
• Experience maintaining public spaces and gardens.
• Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Mow and edge lawns to keep areas tidy and presentable.
• Maintain garden beds, trim hedges and monitor plant health.
• Plant trees and shrubs, apply mulch, weed control and minor landscaping.
