Job summary

Woolworths Group is seeking an experienced public liability claims manager to proactively oversee a blended portfolio and deliver sustainable outcomes. You will leverage data analysis and legal insights to resolve complex claims while maintaining risk controls.

In this role you’ll work within Australia’s largest retailer, applying strategic claims management, collaborating with peers, and supporting a culture of care and continuous improvement. Hybrid work available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of claims management experience with public liability portfolio knowledge.
• Ability to interpret and apply legislation to complex claims.
• Strong data analysis, time management and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with SAP and Google Workspace.
• High empathy, resilience and customer communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of complex public liability claims with early intervention.
• Analyse liability, quantum and indemnity issues and review third‑party recovery opportunities.
• Monitor national legal panel performance against SLAs.
• Resolve claims within delegated authority in a timely, cost‑effective manner.
• Collaborate with peers and translate complex ideas into actionable concepts.
• Identify operational risks and improve risk awareness and processes.
