Succession Partners Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Legal Liability Claims Manager in Melbourne. The role combines on-site and remote work (hybrid) as part of a national claims team, overseeing personal injury and general liability claims while assessing liability and financial exposure.

You will work with a national manager and a team of qualified professionals, liaising with national and international insurance clients.

Qualifications

• A law degree and proven experience in managing personal injury or liability claims.
• Experience in general insurance with private practice exposure is preferred.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills are essential.

Role Overview

Senior Legal Liability Claims Manager at a national claims specialist provider. Work in a hybrid arrangement (2–3 days on site, remaining from home). Responsible for managing a personal injury and general liability claims portfolio, assessing liability and financial exposure.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the National Liability Manager and a team of legal qualified professionals.
• Manage a portfolio of personal injury and general liability claims.
• Assess liabilities and financial exposure for each case.
• Provide expertise on insurance principles, policies, and regulations.
• Analyze data, assess risks, and recommend effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Law degree (essential).
• Proven experience managing personal injury or liability claims.
• Experience within a general insurance business and some private practice exposure is preferred.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
• Proficiency in industry‑specific software and Microsoft Office Suite.
