Northern Sydney Local Health District seeks a Permanent Full‑Time Registered Nurse to join the North Sydney Public Health Unit – Communicable Disease Team. You will contribute to surveillance and control of infectious diseases within the community in the NSW health system.

Based at Hornsby Kuringgai Hospital, the role includes responding to notifiable disease notifications, outbreak investigations, and occasional on‑call shifts after suitable training.

Formación

• Registered Nurse - Division 1 or Registered Midwife with AHPRA.
• Demonstrated experience & knowledge of current issues in communicable disease.
• Ability to work in a team, with organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of notifiable diseases and the role of the public health network in NSW.

Responsabilidades

• Develop strategic approaches to surveillance and control of infectious disease in the community.
• Receive and respond to notifications of notifiable disease under the Public Health Act.
• Investigate disease outbreaks and coordinate response activities.
• Some on-call shifts will be rostered each month after training.
